Nicholasville/Jessamine County Parks & Recreation and the Jessamine County YMCA will be offering a joint program for disc golf starting June 10.

This beginning league is open to all ages but is focused on kids. The league will be played at Lake Mingo Disc Golf Course in Nicholasville and will last 8 weeks on Tuesdays from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. The league will be focused primarily on learning and improving. Participants will play 9 holes each week along with receiving instructions in basic rules as well as tips to improve.

The cost for the entire 8 week session is only $20. Along with various prizes, each participant will receive 2 custom-stamped beginners discs to use and keep. If participants cannot attend all 8 sessions, it is not a problem at all.

If you know some youth who want to play in a kids league or if you know some people who are new to the sport curious about it and who want to come and play in a more laid back league, let them know about this.

Parks & Recreation and the Jessamine County Senior Citizens Center are offering a disc golf league for all seniors (50+). All skill levels welcome. The focus of the league will be on having fun, learning a new sport, improving in that sport, and staying active. Begins June 10th at Lake Mingo Park Disc Golf Course.
