summer scorecard

What is it? VERB Summer Scorecard is a physical activity program for tweens 9-13 years of age.

How does it work? Kids will be able to register and track their activity hours online at www.verbsummerscorecard.com or by a hard copy version of the scorecard. When reaching 60 minutes of physical activity the participant will receive 1 point. Once 12 points have been earned, the participants name will go in for a drawing at our grand finale at the end of the summer. For every 12 points that are earned, the participant will have a chance to win a prize. So the more active he/she is, the more chances to win.

When is the program? The program will begin on May 26th and end on August 1st at the grand finale at Riney B. Park Pool. Participants must be 9-13 sometime during this time frame.

How does the tween earn points? A calendar of events is available on the verb website. Many surrounding counties are participating too, so tweens can enjoy activities in other counties as well. Tweens can also earn points by playing outside, riding bikes, swimming, playing ball, walking, anything that is considered physical activity.

I don't have access to a computer, how am I supposed to log my points? There are hard copy versions of the scorecard available, just have your mom or dad initial each square once you have earned 60 minutes of physical activity. Then bring the scorecard to the grand finale on August 1st to enter for the prizes. If you need more scorecards, contact one of the sponsoring agencies and we'll make sure you receive as many scorecards as you need.
