Nicholasville/Jessamine County Parks & Recreation is comprised of sixteen parks. Each park has its own unique beauty and special attributes to offer for the enjoyment of all citizens of Nicholasville and Jessamine County. Please visit one of these jewels and discover the ‘hidden' treasures throughout Nicholasville and Jessamine County.
A small area of greenspace located in Ashgrove Mobile Home Park. Currently there are no recreational amenities, but soon park benches and a children's swing set will be installed.
Directions: Heading north on U.S. 27 (Nicholasville Rd.), turn right on Ashgrove Pike (KY 1980). Drive approximately three miles. Turn left into the mobile home park at the convenience store.
Approximately one acre of water drainage detention land. Many trees.
Directions: Heading south on the US 27 Bypass, turn right onto KY 169 (first traffic light past the Main Street light. Look for Lowe's). The park is located on the right just past North Keene-Way Drive in the Bell Place subdivision.
This park serves as a full-size competition soccer field and is operated primarily used by and for the Jessamine Youth Soccer Association (JYSA).
Directions: Heading south on the US 27 Bypass, turn right onto KY 169 (the first traffic light past the Main Street light. Look for Lowe's). Take the first right onto Bellaire Drive into Bell Place subdivision. The park is located at the corner of KY 169 and Bellaire.

Directions: Heading south on the US 27 Bypass, turn right onto KY 169 (the first traffic light past the Main Street light. Look for Lowe's). The park is located on the left at the corner of KY 169 on Keene Way Drive at the entrance to Keene-lane subdivision.
City/County Park is a community park offering over 10 acres of green space and roads for walking and recreation. There is also a small walking track around the large playground with swing sets. The park is also home to the Jessamine County Road Department, the Jessamine County Humane Society and the Jessamine County Fairgrounds. Other park amenities include:
Directions: Heading south on Main Street in Nicholasville, turn left onto Longview Drive across from Kroger. Follow Longview until it turns into Park Drive which leads into the park.
A small neighborhood park located along Town Branch near downtown Nicholasville. Park amenities include:
Directions: Heading south on Main Street in Nicholasville. Turn left onto Chestnut Street. Go through the four-way stop. Turn right on Jefferson Street. The park is at the end of Jefferson Street.
Located in the Southbrook Subdivision at the south end of Nicholasville, this park offers both wooded area and green space along Town Branch creek. There are no restroom facilities. Other amenities include:
Directions: Heading south on US 27 Bypass, turn left at the last traffic light (Main Street). Turn right on Southbrook Drive. The park is located just over the bridge approximately on-half mile. The park is located on both sides of Southbrook Drive. Park on the street.
Located in the community of Keene in northwest Jessamine County. The park includes the historic and recently refurbished Keene Community Center. Rest room facilities are provided. Other park amenities:
Directions: Heading west on KY 169, turn left on Keene-Troy Pike (KY 1267). The park is one-eighth of a mile on the right.
Directions: Heading south on Main Street in Nicholasville, approximately two miles past the Main Street/U.S. 27 bypass turn left on Lake Street (across from Pizza Hut). The park is one & a half blocks on the left.
A small sitting park located at the corner of North Central Street and Walnut Street in Nicholasville donated as a memorial park by the Prentice family.
Directions: Heading south on Main Street, turn left on Walnut. The park is located two blocks on the left.
Site of the Nicholasville/Jessamine County Aquatic Center, a large community pool with:
There are approximately two miles of trails on fifty acres of wooded land surrounding the aquatic center. Constructed on part of the old R.N.I. & B. rail bed, the trail encircles the park through scenic woods and along the Town Branch creek.
Directions: Located off the U.S 27 bypass just south of the Main Street Nicholasville traffic light. Turn left on Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard toward the Aquatic Center. The trail circles the entire park. The trail is just west of the pool toward the corner house. Park in the Aquatic Center parking lot.
Located close to downtown Nicholasville, this is a great wooded neighborhood park with the following amenities:
Directions: Located at the corner of Third and Oak Streets. Heading south on the US 27 Bypass, take a left on KY 169 (the next light south of Main Street). After crossing over the railroad trestle the park will be on the left next to Stratton Lumber.
A small neighborhood park located in Squire Lake Subdivision of approximately one-half acre. Both the neighborhood and park are currently under development.
Directions: Located behind Southbrook subdivision on Cannonball Drive. Heading south on US 27 Bypass, turn left at the last traffic light (Main Street). Turn right on Southbrook Drive. Follow Southbrook Drive all the way to the end. Turn right on Southside Way. Turn left on Glenridge Way. Turn right on Cannonball Drive. The park is on the right. Park on the street.
This 3-acre park is currently under development. The park has a large greenspace and has a walking track. Future amenities include: a playground with swing set, picnic shelter with grill.
Directions: Heading south on U.S 27 south, turn left on Wichita Street (just past the train trestle). Turn right on Pin Oak Drive (first right). Turn left on Kevin Drive (first left. The park is two blocks on the right.
A small but popular neighborhood park used by four neighborhoods: Keene Crossing, Keene-Land, Autumn Hills and Lone Oak. Current amenities include:
Directions: Heading south on the US 27 Bypass, turn right onto KY 169 (the first traffic light past the Main Street light. Look for Lowe's). Take the second left onto Keene-way Drive. Take the seventh left onto Bluegrass Drive. Turn right onto Derby Drive. The park is located at the end of Derby Drive.
